The Toba volcano’s caldera and lake in Sumatra is some 30km x 100km. It was formed after an estimated 2,800 cubic kilometers of material was erupted into the atmosphere. For comparison, Mt. St. Helens in Washington state only ejected 1 cubic kilometer of material
